WARRANTY ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective February 1st 2003 we are amending our warranty policy.

Our bicycles and parts will be guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defects.
We will also offer a crash replacement policy with component replacement being offered at 50% discount from retail price, or a replacement frame for £100 (250$ Can, $175 US.) The damaged frame must be returned to the national distributor.

Why have we changed our policy?
Our previous "you break it, we'll replace it" policy was always a goodwill gesture on our part and far more than we were legally required to do. However, though we offered this is good faith, as a back up to our products, we realise this was being abused by a small number of riders who actively sought to damage their bikes to claim a new frame.

This has been a factor in limiting the design and performance of our frames and components by us having to build in higher margins of safety and strength than other brands had to, giving our design team an impossible task. We realized that this would, if we carried on building frames for this type of rider that we would not be able to satisfy our other customers whose priority is high performance. Many times we've heard "why can't those forks/bars/stems/frames be lighter?" now they can be!

Given the types of riders that we are working with , the likes of trials rider Thibaut Marriaux, cross rider Nick Craig, and road pro John Tanner then the direction we as a company wish to take is to create the highest performance bikes, not bombproof-at-any-cost

For hardcore street riders like our new riders The Trialskings, we will continue to make superhardcore frames - like our new bike the Pitbull, to stand up to urban riding. And if they fail through manufacturing defect inside 2yrs we'll replace them. And if you damage the frame in a crash, for up to 3 years, you can purchase a frame by returning your crash damaged frame to a distributor, for £100/US$175/Can$250.

This policy affects all goods sold from Feb 1st 2003 onwards, and does not affect frames or components sold before this date.

This policy is in addition to your statutory rights.

This warranty applies to the first owner only.

We reserve the right to withdraw the crash replacement policy should we consider a rider may have deliberately sabotaged or damaged a frame in any way in order to receive a new one. Crash replacement policy is valid for 3 years from purchase date.
